Traditional oak board is a very attractive, long lasting fence, built
with 6” cedar posts and 1”x 6” x 16’ oak board. Typical construction
is three or four board, with an optional board to cover the post vertically.
This option adds strength to the joints, protects the cedar posts from
being chewed, and provides a complete look to your fence. Under normal
circumstances, horses will not chew oak board due to the construction
with hard wood.
Oak fences can be left natural or painted to give your farm the well maintained look.
